Cayuse 424 Part 2

This is part 2 of the 2 part class.

Cayuse424 helps organizations collaborate, manage, and apply for federal funding. Cayuse424 is a hosted Web application created specifically for Grants.gov and the complex federal grant proposal process. Cayuse424 analyzes submission data from Grants.gov and allows more reliable and more accurate preparation and submission of federal grant proposals. Their rejection rate is very low because Cayuse424 performs over 1,000 validations, including all Grants.gov validations, prior to submission. The Office of Sponsored Programs will be providing training of the Cayuse software throughout the year. Training will cover: User Start-up, Managing Professional Profiles, Managing and Editing Proposals, Attaching Documents to the Proposal, Preparing Budgets, Proposals with Subawards.com, Routing and Approving Proposals, Submitting Proposals.

This course can serve as an elective for the OSP Departmental Certification.

Public Responsibility & Research Commitments

This core course for the OSP Departmental Certification covers structure and function of Georgia Tech's institutional committees including IRB, IACUC, and IBC. Presenters also discuss compliance with federal regulations including export control, responsible conduct of research, and conflicts of interest, as well as resources for managing radiological and biological materials on campus.

Required for Departmental Certification in Sponsored Programs.

Working with the NSF

This course provides a comprehensive look at the workings of the National Science Foundation, how to submit a proposal in FastLane and how the review process works. Recent updates to the NSF Grant Proposal Guide and reporting requirements will also be reviewed.
